iPhone and Unity

Posted on: 04-5-2009 Posted in: iPhone, Unity

Thomas Pasieka has been prodding me for a while now to get in on iPhone development, and I guess it was just a matter of time before we gave in.

Rune Memory, a simple but gorgeous collaboration with 3DAttack, is awaiting approval on the App Store and will be live soon. We’ll also begin work on a port of Rock’N‘Roll this coming week, with Thomas already working on the textures and UI changes. We’ll then move on to a project we have conceived fully for the iPhone, which should showcase some of the work we’ve been doing.

It’s an appealing platform, and would be more so if it weren’t for Apple’s DRM and draconian control. We’ll test the waters with these projects, and then decide if the platform’s disadvantages are outweighed by its advantages.

More coming soon.
