DescriptionArges Systems is a distributed micro-studio focused on making different, genre-blending games.
Arges Systems actually started off as a contracting effort of Ricardo J. Méndez, focused on doing artificial intelligence and gameplay implementation for larger projects, which was his main area of expertise. Most of our work is based on the Unity Game Engine, and we also maintain several Unity-related open source projects such as UnitySteer. After a few years of toiling away at the contracting salt mines, I decided it was time to build something to scratch on our own - from alpha to zombie - and put a team together to start building our own games.Wallachia
Our first effort, a turn-based strategy name code-named Wallachia, was plagued with contractor problems. After some months of pushing forward, I put the project on ice (not without writing a post-mortem, still available on the company site) and moved on to what ended up becoming Hairy Tales.Hairy Tales
Hairy Tales is a puzzle/action game inspired by ChuChu Rocket and Lemmings, which combines tile-dragging mechanics with puzzles that have been called "fiendishly difficult". The process was a much more enjoyable experience than Wallachia, with a team that gelled together from the start, and was released to extremely positive reviews.
